My name is Orna Carr and I am the proud owner of High Street Pilates Reformer Studio in Ashbourne.

I have been in the Fitness and Pilates Industry for a long time. 30 plus years and counting. I have trained and upskilled regularly down through the years. I believe upskilling regularly is important as we can never know enough and I love learning.

I have seen fitness fads come and go however my ultimate passion is Reformer and Mat Pilates. I also have a deep love of Anatomy and Physiology of the Human Body.

I trained as a Pilates Tutor in the National Training Centre and worked as a Tutor on the Advanced Mat Pilates Diploma Course.

I have been working in fitness industry for over 12 years.

I'm a qualified fitness trainer/instructor & personal trainer. I'm a qualified swim teacher level 1-3.

I have a great passion for Pilates, and I'm qualified in mat Pilates level 1 through to level 3 also I'm qualified in reformer Pilates level 1 to level 3.

I am also a big Rugby fan !!!

My name is Barbara and I started my career in the Wellness industry in 2008 taking on Strength and Conditioning and Personal training course with ITEC and I later qualified in Kettlebells, Les Mills, Rip 60 and Gravity Pilates all on international level.

I am very passionate long distance runner and triathlete with WC qualifying time in Ironman 70.3 Dun Laoghaire but I also enjoy to watch rugby and football. Partaking in sports as a female athlete helped me to understand what training, nutrition and recovery plays a key role in successful performance.

I started practising Mat Pilates around 2010 and absolutely fell in love with the method.

I decided to do L1 to L3 course with Balanced Body and later Reformer L1 to L3 course with Polestar Pilates in London. I have worked as an instructor ever since.

In 2014 I have traveled to Thailand for a yoga teacher training Yoga as I was very keen to learn and understand more.

A couple of years later I was learning Yin Yoga in Mexico which was another great add on to my learning experience.

I was very curious to explore rehabilitation and injury prevention field so I decided to complete a degree course with London Metropolitan University and I have successfully graduated in 2022 as Bsc.Hons in Sports Therapy.

I trust that learning and upskilling is extremely important in order to create safe environment for a client.

My love for Pilates was immediate, as soon as I began attending Orna's Mat and Reformer classes I was hooked, her passion for the discipline is infections.

I trained as a Pilates Instructor in the National Training Centre with our wonderful Orna in 2017, Advanced Diploma Pilates Mat Work L1 to L3

I furthered my training to include Reformer L1 to L3, and Pre/Post Natal Pilates, and continue to take work-shops to develop my knowledge and keep my classes challenging and fun.
Pilates is an intertwined part of my life; I am passionate about the benefits of Pilates Practice. The functional movement patterns we practice in our wonderful studio and bring to our every-day life brings a smile to my face and lifts my spirits.

Hi, my name is Hannah and I am a qualified reformer Pilates instructor.

I am so passionate about wellness & movement and I think Pilates is an amazing way to discover improved strength, flexibility and anatomical awareness.

Pilates changed my perspective on physical and mental wellbeing and changing that passion into a career has been extremely rewarding.

I aim to continue my education and knowledge and continue to help others benefit from this transformative practice.

Hi my name is Àine Reilly.

Where do I start .. I've been in the fitness industry now for over ten years, with my qualifications ranging from pilates instructor in all forms to a neuromuscular physical therapist / sports therapist.

I've always had a passion for fitness and well-being.

Pilates has always been a part of my life but it all really started with a rebounding class taught by the one and only Orna Carr (boss lady).

I work fulltime shift work and Pilates is my little reset and escape from the "real world".

I fell in love with Pilates and it was suggested to me to try to do an instructors course, which I did.

The confidence the courses gave me pushed me to try instructing courses in work too.

Fact about me: I've played AIL rugby for Suttonians for the past 7 years.

My journey with Pilates began as a client, looking for a way to rebalance my body after years of weight training. What started as a way to improve flexibility, posture, and overall movement quickly became a passion. I fell in love with the way Pilates made me feel strong, aligned, and more in tune with my body than ever before.

Inspired by the transformation I experienced, I made the decision to leave my gym routine behind and fully immerse myself in Pilates. I trained as an instructor and became certified in both Mat and Reformer Pilates, allowing me to help others discover the same benefits that changed my life.

Now, my goal is to guide and support clients in building strength, mobility, and confidence through mindful movement. Whether you're looking to improve posture, recover from an injury, or simply feel your best, I'm here to help you on your journey.

I wanted to let you know a little bit about me and I will give away my age as I do. I have worked in the fitness industry since 2002 and I have taught almost every class under the sun...wearing leotards etc.

I absolutely fell in love with helping people feel more confident in themselves and their bodies.

I have managed a number of gyms over the years and went into facilities and event management, but I still alway kept my hobby... I love it! In the gyms, my ethos was always to create a community where people could find friends fun and fitness.. its the best feeling.

I trained in Pilates Mat work but craved more of a "why" for my teaching. I even tried sports massage but it didnt cut it. So I then trained in Stott pilates which was a physio led qualification and it gave me so many answers. After this I completed my Reformer training. I trained in Injuries and special population pre and post natal pilates and barre.

I completely immersed myself and have been teaching pilates since 2008.

My goals have changed over the years.. growing with me. I understand all levels and other clients "whys".

I know we can challenge ourselves but we can enjoy it too.

My motto is.. there is no gun to your head, we can do what we do and be as happy as we can. Delighted to join you in Highstreet Pilates with the best team!!!

You are in safe hands.

Hi I'm Nicola. I'm a passionate movement professional whose love for Pilates began the moment I attended my very first class. With a decade of experience as a qualified gymnastics coach, I have dedicated my career to helping people build strength, flexibility, and confidence in their bodies.

My journey from gymnastics to Pilates was a natural progression - blending precision, control, and grace from my coaching background with the mindful movement principles of Pilates. Now a fully qualified reformer and mat Pilates teacher, my aim is to bring energy, expertise, and encouragement to every session, inspiring clients to discover their own potential through movement.
